1. Initial orientation.

We establish the first contact with the customer through a completely confidential questionnaire which provides us information on needs, taste, lifestyle and requirements in order to:

Pre-select living areas, homes and schools responding to specific tastes and needs. Photographs and detailed information will be sent by fax or e-mail so they may be evaluated by our customer.
Appointments will be arranged to visit potential homes and schools.
We offer support during exploration visit in order for our customers to personally identify areas, homes and schools while getting a feel for distances, timing between home – work – school as well as other sites (shopping malls, recreation areas, medical facilities, etc.).
Information and support for transportation of pets.

2. Searching for a home

Orientation tour: our services include visits to the pre-selected homes where we personally accompany our customers to visit the surrounding areas while offering all necessary information in order to evaluate and be able to make the best decision. The main objective of this tour is to provide answers to all our customers’ questions and eliminate the initial unease felt when moving to a new place.
Assessment on market prices in order to get a better deal when negotiating the contract.
Legal assistance on buying or renting a home and if needed a translation of the contract.
Supervision on the proper condition of the home before moving in.

3. Searching for schools and other related activities

Before the customers’ arrival a list of schools will be provided including those with the highest recognition and international certification. The list will suggest the advantages offered by each one in order to assist in selecting the best one according to our customers’ needs.
Visits and interviews with the selected schools as well as support for the registering process.
Assistance for official certification and translation of school documents if required.
Suggestions on language schools or private teachers in order to learn or improve Spanish skills or any other language.
Orientation on courses, classes, cultural and sport activities for each member of the family.

4. Moving and arrival assistance.

Coordination of moving procedures from any part of the world with international moving companies.
Assistance with immigration and customs procedures.
Supervision on the day of the arrival of our customers’ furniture and appliances into the new home.
Personalized assistance when buying or renting furniture and appliances as well as option for interior design and decoration.
When the day of moving to Mexico arrives, we will receive our customer and his/her family at the airport (or other point of arrival) and transport them either to their new home, hotel or suite previously reserved by NEXUS. At this point our customers receive our “Welcome to Mexico” package which will include maps, emergency numbers and general information which will be of great use from the very first day.
Guided tour of Mexico City (one or more days) during which our customers will visit the main points of interest for someone who is going to be living in Mexico City.
Introduction course for all family members with valuable and updated information on day-to-day life in Mexico City as well as on history, culture, society and relevant facts about Mexico which no other Relocation service offers

5. Hiring of services and utilities

Information on interior decorators, Feng-Shui assessment and specialists in fine art.
Electricians, gardeners, plumbers and any other services our customers may need.
We will process the contracts for electricity, water, gas, telephone lines, Internet, cable or satellite T.V. , cellular phones, etc.

Assistance to identify and contract insurance for:
- medical expenses
- vehicles
- home

Medical, legal and mechanical assistance 24 hours a day.
Orientation to open bank accounts, arranging appointments with the bank of our customer’s choice.
Assistance and support to hire private security services, armored vehicles as well as satellite search systems for cars as well as alarm systems for homes.

6. Legal and immigration assistance.

Registration at embassies or consulates.
Expert advice and support to obtain or extend visas, residence permits, working permits, FM-2 and FM-3.
Information on car imports.

7. Family and cultural integration.

The Cross Cultural Training Programs are essential during the process of adaptation of an expatriate and his/her family. They provide the basic tools to develop successful relationships with people of other cultures. The programs help people of other countries to avoid common interpersonal and cultural errors. The areas of study include social practices, protocol norms, everyday situations as well as information to learn about the country, its history, its people and its ecological importance. NEXUS will be responsible to find professionals in Cross Cultural Programs tailored to our customers’ needs.

8. Continued support and personal assistance program.

Day to day living:

We provide support and assistance from 8 am to 8 pm from Monday to Saturday to answer all of our customers’ questions.
Orientation to help our customers find specialized products such as specific foods or house-hold items.
We have information on tailors, clothes repair, shoe repair, house appliance repair, etc.
Support to hire domestic help (drivers, baby sitters, gardeners, housekeepers, etc.).
Information on best options for movie theaters, restaurants, theaters, sports clubs, beauty salons, SPA centers, laundry services, supermarkets, shopping malls, clubs and social centers.
A monthly guide by e-mail with concerts, art exhibitions, restaurants, bars, week-end trips, cultural and family activities.
Support and assistance to organize special events such as dinners or parties with the best catering services, music, valet parking, etc.
Recommendations and subscription to newspapers, magazines or other publications.
Assistance to contact communities according to nationality, religion, language, hobbies or sexual preference.
Information on churches or temples in the preferred language where available.
Assistance to plan vacations with information on hotels, tourist centers, eco-tourism options as well as homes or apartments to be rented for week-ends near to Mexico City.

Health:

Information on medical centers, emergency rooms, hospitals and clinics as well as doctors (general medicine and specialists) both allopathic and alternative medicine such as homeopathy or reiki, with qualified bilingual doctors when available. A translator can be arranged if necessary.
Orientation on psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists and addiction treatment centers.

Home management and maintenance:

Maintenance services: plumbers, carpenters, gardeners, fumigators, air and water filters and all other related services
For greater comfort we offer the option of making payments for services such as electricity , water, property tax, gas, telephone, Internet service, schools, sports clubs or gymnasium, insurance, car tax, etc.

Spouse:

We support all initiatives undertaken by expatriate’s spouse when wishing to work, start a business, study or participate in a social or voluntary activity. We will orient them on legal procedures, contact head-hunters, identify charity organizations, bilingual lawyers, translators as well as support to find an office, hire personnel, design Web pages, obtain office supplies and other related services.

9. Leaving Mexico City.

We offer support for cancellation of all hired services (electricity, water, telephone, Internet, cable T.V., gas, etc.).
We assist during the rent contract closure and support our customers in handing over their home or apartment.
We offer assistance when canceling bank accounts and insurance.
We hire international moving services.
We offer advice on selling or transferring goods or services.
We send all mail to our customers’ forwarding address.

10. Assistance for Mexican expatriates going abroad.

We offer assistance in selling or renting property.
Assistance to hire storage for furniture and appliances.
Assistance to hire a moving company as well as supervision during packing process with an inventory for detailed control.
In case the customer does not wish to rent or sell his/her property we offer maintenance services which ensure that the property and belongings are kept in perfect state.
We offer the service of making all monthly payments and forwarding mail to the new address.
